Person Person Parthasarathy, PrabhaDr Prabha Parthasarathy is a clinician by training. She completed M.D in Microbiology from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi in 2003. She subsequently pursued an MSc in Infectious Diseases from the National University of Singapore in 2009. During this time, she led a randomised clinical trial on the impact of Infectious Disease consultation on management of MRSA bacteraemia. She was instrumental in developing the molecular typing laboratory for the Department of Infectious Diseases. In 2009, Dr Prabha relocated to the UK and decided to pursue her passion in teaching through a full-time teaching position at the University of Sussex and subsequently at Imperial College London. Over the last 12 years, she introduced several innovative teaching and learning strategies in her modules. At Imperial College, she led the development of the revised curriculum across 15 different intercalated BSc pathways. She introduced an evidence-based approach to learning and also developed new evaluation tools, e-lessons and teamwork coaching sessions in the curriculum. Dr Prabha is a recipient of the Student Led Teaching Award at the University of Sussex. She was also awarded a distinction for her Masters in Education degree. Her dissertation explored psychological safety in student teams. At the University of East London, Dr Prabha contributes to the teaching on several modules in the Biosciences degree programme. She introduced team-based learning and has led staff development workshops. She is actively involved in curriculum development.
